We endeavour to manage the activities of our business, staff and suppliers to minimise the impact on the environment. We are committed to guidelines and compliance of policy, regulatory bodies and continual improvement.
We achieve our objectives by:
- Recycling all paper and opting for recycled or semi-recycled paper and amstationary
- Purchasing all our cartons and boxes from a local Co Armagh supplier who only uses recycled board.See www.greenpak.co.uk for more information
- Recycling almost all our cartons and boxes - if your order turns up in a used box we hope you will understand and appreciate our efforts at recycling!
- Any cartons or boxes that cannot be re-used are taken to our local recycling plant in Co Down
- Recycling and reusing all packaging materials that come into our warehouse
- Use electronic rather than paper based communications
- Power down all equipment overnight where feasible
- Turn off any lights in unoccupied rooms
- Maintaining indoor air quality, providing natural air as opposed to air conditioned supply
- Monitor heating levels constantly to ensure no room is overheated
- Using water wisely
- Avoiding unnecessary journeys and giving consideration to methods of business travel which are environmentally friendly
- Carefully sourcing small local manufacturers ensuring our products travel few road miles, and allows us to proudly say ‘Made In Ireland’
- Sourcing and using only local services and resources for our business activities
