This week I am off to the Mournes for a photo shoot to launch our exciting new scent, Irish Orchard. We’ll be taking promotional photos in the old orchard at the cottage, it’s absolutely gorgeous at this time of year and reminds me so much of the endless summers that we spent in Newcastle as children – apples never tasted so good as they did they knocked off the tree coated with morning dew! The supermarket packaged ones we buy now look perfect yes but they just don’t taste the same!
We spend the weekend working on reviving our overgrown vegetable patch with the help…if you can call it that of our toddler who appeared to enjoy the muck and mud rather too much and was spotted having a wee taste! We’ve planted a few basics – peas, carrots and tatties of course to get us started. Hopefully we will be enjoying tasty fresh veg from the garden very soon!
